Rules
Blast is an exciting strategy game that requires quick thinking to uncover opportunities. Players match candies on an ever-evolving board to fulfill a unique Objective card and become the first person to reach it before their opponent and win!
Before playing Sugar Blast, set out the board, player aids, and candy on a central table within reach of all players. Shuffle and deal out seven cards to each player from a draw pile. The player left of the dealer goes first; their turn ends when they create at least three orthogonally adjacent Candies into a Blast. Alternatively, they may swap two orthogonally adjacent candies to create a Mega-Blast of five candies on their turn.
Whenever a card matches the top card in the discard pile, its player must play it. Matches may occur via color, number, or word (Blast Off). When playing these cards, their respective fighter squadrons will fire upon one another unless another player uses an anti-turrets card and blocks any hits made against their squadrons.
When players run out of cards, they must draw one from the draw pile and place it in an available slot on the Card Blaster. But care must be taken not to put their card into one that could set off a blast; otherwise, their turn is over, and they must add all of those shot out into their hand.
Variations
Uno has many variations that you can choose from, such as Uno Blast and Extreme, each offering slightly different gameplay rules but adding their twist. For longer-lasting fun, you could even play using two decks so the draw pile will stay dry after your time’s up!
This game challenges players to race to collect all the Candies on a Sugar Blast board by creating blasts that cause it to tilt, allowing the Candies to drop down more quickly — making completing Objective cards much simpler! The first person who successfully gathers all the Candies wins!
The goal of this card game is to align four color-coded cards vertically, horizontally, or diagonally in any order. Each card features its squadron that fires at your opponent’s squadron; however, these squadrons may only fire if authorized explicitly by another card in your hand; for instance, an orange turreted card can only target their blue squadron when firing against it.
The game features four types of cards: Alien races, ship types, and action cards. Each alien race comes equipped with its unique ability and is located on one Flagship; action cards allow you to do things such as attack another player’s ship or draw more fighters to battle them.
